The making of 28 reasons to love pauline viardot

This is a programme I devised as a commission for the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall. It took over 15 months to gather the material and compose a coherent programme where every piece has a direct historical connection to Pauline. It included several trips to Paris to talk to Jorge Chaminé, a Portuguese operatic baritone who is a great supporter of Pauline Viardot and a curator of her villa in Bougival, France. On my several trips to the British library I discovered very rare and very attractive pieces of music, which are included in this programme. The recital received very a warm welcome and I am delighted to be commencing a doctorate in the future.
