Marek Ruszczynski received his formative musical education from prof.Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron when he lived in Gdansk. As a 17 year old he won the III prize in the International Piano Competition in Andorra. At the age of 19 he was awarded a prize from the Polish Ministry of Culture and Education for music activity and achievements. He also won a Gdansk and Brussels Rotary Club Prize for the best artistic school graduate in Northern Poland.

He learned voice accompaniment at the GSMD in London culminating his studies as the winner of the Gold Medal Accompanist Prize both in 2009 and 2011 as the pupil of Ronan O'Hora and Rudolf Piernay.

After graduating he learned further from such distinguished artists as Elly Ameling, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Roger Vignoles and Dalton Baldwin. In November 2011 Marek was awarded the Prix de Piano in the Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Voice-Piano Competition.

Marek has performed across Europe in concert halls including Wigmore Hall, the Barbican Hall and the Berliner Philharmoniker Kammersaal and Paris La Salle Doree de Banque de France. Besides a heavy demand as a duo partner, he works as a vocal coach for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Future engagements include vocal recitals in Paris, London, and the Musikverein Hall in Vienna.
